Debian and Ubuntu

An installer for the shop's own server: Debian or Ubuntu, with PostgreSQL.

Docker

An optional Docker Compose setup, for shops that already run Docker.

What you'll need

  • A computer or small server in your shop, running Debian or Ubuntu. It holds the sales, customers and inventory.
  • A computer at each register, on Windows, Mac or Linux, to sign in from. Add a receipt printer, a barcode scanner and a cash drawer if your shop uses them.

How it will work

  1. Run the installer on the shop's server.
  2. Start FreedomShop and set up your shop: name, logo, receipt wording, tax locations and the first manager login.
  3. Add logins for the people who work the register, and sign in from each register computer.

It's new software. Run it beside your current system, and check the daily totals against your drawer before you rely on it.
